Where to stay
1 . If you want to be in the heart of everything, we’d recommend Isola di Ortigia , the touristic/historic centre of Siracusa. (left image)
Here you'll find the typical Sicilian streets, baroque piazzas, and major attractions. You'll be within a 5-10 minute walk from everything - cafes, the Sicilian food market, seaside bars for aperitivo, and shops. You can easily go around on foot - a car is only necessary if you want to visit nearby beaches or villages outside of Siracusa. (for transport to and from the wedding venue, we’ll arrange sth, so we’ll let you know!)
2. If you want to be close to the wedding venue, in the countryside, we recommend the areas of Fanusa, Isola and Punta Milloca (right image). There are accommodations surrounded by farms and olive groves, beautiful grottos and beaches, and great views of Etna’s volcano. Central Siracusa is an easy 15min drive from here.
